Grandad and Milly are back for another adventure, this time honoring the past and celebrating the future with a pride parade. This heartwarming tale continues to wonderful journey that began with the Stonewall Honoree and Waterstones Best Illustrated Book, Grandad's Camper.

"A winner from beginning to end-and affirmation that Pride belongs in every community." - Kirkus Reviews, STARRED REVIEW

After Milly discovers a pride flag in Grandad's attic, this adorable pair are motivated by the past to start a pride parade in their small town. Activism and celebration go hand in hand as the town gathers to help "build a world where everyone is proud to be themselves." This beautiful follow-up to Grandad's Camper is filled with heart and purpose.

About the Author

Harry Woodgate is the Stonewall Honor award-winning author and illustrator of Grandad's Camper. Inspired by their university dissertation which revealed a lack of representation for older LGBT characters in children's books, Grandad's Camper also won Best Illustrated Book in the 2022 Waterstones Children's Book Prize. Harry writes and illustrates diverse, inclusive stories that inspire young readers to be inquisitive, creative, kind, and proud of what makes them unique.

"Woodgate's upbeat art brims with color and, aptly, rainbow motifs, depicting a supportive community diverse in race, ability, and self-expression. This is a quiet yet moving read with a powerful message: You don't need corporate sponsorship or larger-than-life events to celebrate Pride; all you need is love. A winner from beginning to end-and affirmation that Pride belongs in every community."-- "Kirkus Reviews, STARRED REVIEW"
